When you are looking for name brand designer clothes to complete your wardrobe, sometimes it helps to know a little about the designers.

Edwin clothing, Jeans was launched in the late 1940’s in Japan by designer K.K. Tsunemi. The name Edwin is even an anagram of the word denim. Inspired by the qualities of denim, he had to import the raw denim from the United States because there was no denim manufactured in Japan at the time.
The denim he got imported was used and worn out and had to be worked on extensively to restore it. Even after this process the denim was of less quality and more expensive because of the extra work it required.
Eventually he decided it would be for the best if he manufactured his own denim. From the point forward the quality and integrity of the denim he created was the highest priority of his company.
Over the years Edwin Jeans has revolutionized the denim fashion industry. The first pair of Edwin denim jeans was created in 1961. By ’63 they had manufactured the world’s heaviest ringspun denim that featured the 3 color rainbow selvedge seam. This seam can still be found in denim jeans today.
Throughout the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s they continued to innovate new types of denim fashion with innovations like stone washed and old wash jeans.
